            3.1.1.  Managing Connections

A connection is a location that can be migrated from, which is called a ‘Source Connection’ or a location to be migrated to which is called a ‘Target Connection’.  They will contain settings related to the relevant system and these connections can be reused across migration jobs.

These connections can either be added to PMA during the migration job creation wizard or separately in Manage Connections.

To create a connection using the Manage Connections option, click on the Picture3.pngicon in the navigation panel from where you can create or edit Source and Target connections.

Click on Picture4.png to add a new connection or Picture5.png to edit existing connection.

Exporting Job Settings

Some of the settings on a job can be used by other jobs by selecting the job Export option .  This will export settings associated with structure mapping, content type mapping and security mappings to a file which can be imported when creating a new job.  This makes it simple to share settings across PMA servers.

NOTE: Export settings does not save custom content type information.

       3.1.3.  Licensing

License activation (online or off-line) as well as license information and consumption can be found here.
